Jim Erisman was born and raised in Wilmington, and he still lives in the city today. A proud veteran of the United States Marine Corps, he is driven in his personal and professional life by the lessons of honor and dedication that he learned in his active duty service.

Jim entered the field of personal injury law because he wants to help people who are hurting, and he especially enjoys the personal interaction he has with his clients.

In the 35-plus years that Jim has been helping injury victims, he has tried more than 100 cases to verdict, including two that resulted in judgments for his clients in excess of $1 million. In every case he handles, his goal is to achieve justice and fair compensation for his clients.

Jim is a board-certified civil trial advocate, one of just a few in the state of Delaware. He is a member of the Million Dollar Advocates Forum, has been named a Super Lawyer, and is AV rated by Martindale-Hubbell. He is a past president of both the Delaware Trial Lawyers Association and the Delaware Chapter of the American Board of Trial Advocates.

Jim retired from Bifferato Gentilotti LLC on September 1, 2018.
